Dr. Feifel is a Professor Emeritus of Psychiatry at University of California San Diego and a pioneer in treating mental illness with innovative approaches such as neuromodulation and psychedelics. He has published more than 130 peer-reviewed research papers and his work has been featured in the New York Times, Time magazine, NPR, The Washington Post, Scientific America, among others. In 2008, while at UCSD, he established the world’s first clinical program offering ketamine infusions for the treatment psychiatric disorders. He is currently president of Kadima Neuropsychiatry Institute, (www.KadimaNP.com), a private institute in La Jolla, California, focusing on innovative treatments such as Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), ketamine, psychedelic compounds and other advanced treatments. Among the ongoing projects at Kadima are clinical trials of psilocybin for psychiatric disorders.
